Predictions for the Music Industry in 2025.

Celebrity Apps- One of the many Music Industry advancements I noticed with Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” at its peak was the creation of fan made apps. In this example, fans constructed ways to guess which of the many outfits and surprise songs the artist would sing that night. For each correctly guessed outfit choice and song mashup, the app user would earn points. Fans with the top points would be on a public leaderboard and gained bragging rights amongst other fans. This created an engaging and unique way to stay excited and engrossed in the tour. While Taylor was not the one controlling or actively gaining monetary value from the app.

Taylor’s Version Release Theories- As of January 2nd 2025, I predict that Reputation will be released on June 13th and debut will be October 24th of this year. There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation. However my explanation is that June 13th is the only 13th day that falls on a Friday. The number 13 is a crucial staple for Taylor Swift and her fans due to it being her favorite number. I also predict that her debut album ‘Taylor Swift” will be released on October 24th. October 24th 2006 is when the album was originally released. The 24th also happens to perfectly fall on a Friday this year.

My theories timeline aligns well with the sentiment amongst fans that Taylor Swift will restore her reputation and ultimately regain ownership of her music by reclaiming her identity. By concluding the Taylor’s Version era with the release of her self-titled debut album, “Taylor Swift,” as the final project, she will fully own both her music and her name.
